Welcome to the Restless Natives. I’m thrilled that you stopped by.

Here on the reservation, you will find a great deal of wit, wisdom, and encouragement in the stories of a mother with 4 braves (ages 22, 18, 13, and 5) and one stalwart, faithful, and very wise chief.

Mischief and misdemeanors abound. So do love and grace. Pull up a chair. Listen in.

My mission? Encouraging the world, one laugh at a time. Starting with you.

The Lively One heads to Philly

What a privilege to join my blogging friends, Susan Reinhardt and Jeanette Levellie, today over on Susan's blog, Christian Writer/Reader Connection.  You've met my redheaded friend, Jeanette, who also happens to be a columnist for her local paper in Illinois.

Recently, Susan asked Jeanette and I if she could do an interview to get our take on the world of column writing.  We said, "You betcha!" and met for a "cyber" lunch at Susan's Olive Garden in the City of Brotherly Love.

With three "Words Girls," you can only imagine the outcome of that conversation.  Poor Susan may not have known what she was getting herself into when she started asking questions, but with her vivid imagination, she has set up the interview so that you will feel we're all tableside, enjoying fresh salad and breadsticks.

Today she posts the introduction, setting up the series of eight posts.  I hope you'll hop over, smell the garlic, and say "hi."
